Definition:

EVP stands for electronic voice phenomena and is not listed in Webster's dictionary. Basically it is the recording of a voice of a non-living person using any mechanical device. Many historic people in history tried successfully, including Thomas Edison to record disembodied voices. EVP recordings are not limited to sound devices.

Basic Information for beginners:

EVP or electronic voice phenomena is best listened to with noise canceling headphones and the volume turned up all the way. We prefer Olympus digital recorders set to the most sensitive setting. We use Abobe Audition 1.5 for all audio processing. All EVP sessions begin with a point of reference by all present stating their name. No whispering is permitted during sessions. Each session lasts three minutes. If a sound is heard or made by anybody present, that person states what the sound is out loud.

Rare class "A" EVP

These are rare class A EVP's the first is unedited. The second is amplified 10db and noise reduced. These were recorded on 3 different Olympus digital recorders.

Tammy recorded these in a different room during a session with Ruth, Tammy, and Ann. The first is unedited the second is amplified 10db and noise reduced.

Tammy also recorded this during the above session. This one was not heard on Ann's recorder. It is barely audible without amplification and noise reduction.

Below are sounds that cannot be accounted for.
